Flips flops and summer are two words that go hand in hand.
Whether from the beach to dinner, flip flops are the ultimate summer accessory.
Unlike the winter, where not everyone has Uggs (Not everyone has them....) or other winter boots, everyone has flip flops.
They can fit into everyone's budget, unlike Uggs or other types of shoes.
The best known affordable flip flop:
Old Navy's flip flops (2 for $5)
Mid-priced:
Reef flip flops (averaging around $20-$25)
Most expensive:
Steve Madden ($40)I've seen flip flops sold at the dollar store as well (which has come in handy when I've needed shoes!)
Unlike other shoes (or many other things) flip flops are affordable for everyone depending on their price range.

hmmm i don't like flip flops for dinner, I would buy sandal tha'ts like 10 dollars from ebay or on sale and can be used for both still ^^
I like flipflops but I am a Birkenstock girl, that is all I wear year round, Birkenstock clogs in the winter and sandals all othe months. I do have snow boots if it snows but otherwise it is the birkies.
Ever since I was young, my mom has called flip flops thongs. It is no longer fashionable to use that term in reference to those shoes. She can't figure out why we all laugh when she says it.
I don't have flip flops. I've tried, but my feet end up hurting more than any other type of shoe, even stilettos, so I've given up.
I have a few pairs from Old Navy.
Wouldn't the Steve Madden be considered a sandal?
Flip flops are indeed cheap, but they're god awful for your feet. I have a couple pairs but never wear them.
I have Rainbow sandals. They're pretty pricey (I think mine cost $30), but I've had them for four years now and they're still in great condition. Compare that to buying flip flops from.. say, Target every year and I'm saving money!
I love Old Navy flip flops! I saw them yesterday for 2 for $5, but everything in the store was 40% off so it's 2 for $3...speaking of which, I should have bought some!
I think flip flop shouldn't be more than $20. you only wear it for one season. I mean in my case anyway.
I like the idea that Old Navy has affordable flip-flops in almost every color you could want it in, but they are uncomfortable for me. Once my feet starts settling in, the rubber straps start digging into my feet every time I take a step, thus come the blisters.
So, I'd much rather spend $12 at Target and get a pair that is less likely to hurt my feet.
Plus, who really needs to buy new flip-flops and sandals every summer? I'm guilty of having done that, but when I look at the collection I have, it's really unnecessary. We don't need to buy new flip-flops every summer.

Flip flops are so convenient. I just spent almost two weeks in Puerto Rico in flip flops and was wondering why I brought other shoes since I didn't wear them. I like that they're comfortable and easy to wear and to carry. I even accidentally wore them when I was moving apartments. I probably fall into the under $10 price range, butI have yet to purchase my own pair of flip flops. I just ask my sister since she has a large stash, of which many are new.
