  • Fear Not, There is an Afterlife for the iPhone 3G.

I know you were one of those really (really really really) dedicated Apple junkies who stood on lines that could wrap themselves around the earth's equator twice, with left over. I know you endured the 10 hour arrangement in an anticipation that I'll never understand, but fortunately for you unscrambling your mind's synaptic connections is not my purpose here today.

Quite the contrary. In fact, I am here to coach you through the trying separation from your now ex-iPhone - the previous generation of less than 7 hours worth of battery power, the old school hand held void of a video chat enabling front facing camera - because letting go is never easy.

It's tough, but you can do it.

What's to be done with the iPhone of the yesteryears? The device that stood by you through all those heart breaking  Facebook discoveries (What?? He's going out with her? I really thought we had something...) as your surfed the web via its touch screen, the one and only unwavering companion that stood by you and kept you entertained throughout so many long train rides to and from work - is there a mortal equivalent to iPhone heaven?

Because I am here to guide and support you through every step of the detachment, and because I have your best interest in mind, I present you the following alternatives to burying your previous digital companion in the backyard next to Sparky:

    1. Cashforiphones.com : After inspecting your iPhone, this company promises to send you a pre-paid box and check for up to $190 for your iPhone 3G.

    2. Flipswap : Be righteous! The choice to redeem your iPhone 3G for money or for a donation to a designated charity is up to you.

    3. Gazelle : They'll pay you $159 on average for your iPhone 3G.

    4. Nextworth : "Get a quote, send it in, get paid." Money or gift card - you decide.

I know this is must be a difficult time for you, but let us pause and think rationally before jumping to cremation.

Did you get an iPhone 4? What will you do with your old iPhone?
