  • Dollarish Poll: Are You Getting The iPhone 4? (Regardless of Price?)

iPhone 4. If I had a penny for how many times I've seen that word in the past few weeks, I'd be able to pay off my loans, buy a house, and travel around the world.

Seriously though, the promoting for the iPhone 4 has been crazy.

I had friends on Facebook "statusing" with joy that their new pre-ordered iPhones had arrived.

Has anyone realized how expensive these phones, upgrade or not, are?

Businessinsider.com gives a nice rundown of the price scales, and it tends to fall into three categories:

    1. For people who are eligible for new upgrades or NEW AT&T customers, the cost out of pocket is $200. (Don't forget that new two-year contract agreement!)

    2. For those who sadly aren't eligible for their upgrades yet, no worries: you can get your iPhone at $400 (Contract agreement too!)

    3. Don't believe in contracts? Well then - your iPhone will cost $600.

Yikes! That is a lot of money folks. Even if I had AT&T (I have Verizon), I wouldn't be able to get it because my money funds are low right now. Apparently that isn't the case for many though.

Seeing these various price ranges, this week's poll is....

Bonus Question: What do you think of all the iPhone hoopla? Is it warranted or all a hype? Is the iPhone worth all that money?
