Advice: Any Good Consignment Shops in NYC?
Shopping for vintage/used/already loved clothing is the secret of the thrifty and fashionable alike. But it can be hard to find decent shops. It usually takes personal recommendations to find the really good places.
Over in Advice, Kat is asking about good spots in the city:
The college town where I'm from was a great place for good used clothing because of all the young fashionista students, so I can imagine that New York would be a great place to get used designer clothes, shoes, etc, but I haven't seen any yet. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Brooklyn Industries is really good. I've gotten some stuff from there before.
The Salvation Army at 208 8th Avenue near Chelsea was amazing!
I got a nice pair of black and white patten leather pumps, a cozy cardigan, a Zara (!) blazer, a huge houndstooth scarf, and a pair of Forever XXI jeans for under $35! It was amazing!
