  • Top 10 Strangest Pieces of Unclaimed Luggage

All of the unclaimed baggage in the United States goes to the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Alabama. There, they sell most of it, but keep some other items in a museum of strange things they've found.

Here's a taste of what can be found at the Unclaimed Baggage Center:
    • Hoggle from the movie Labyrinth - now featured in their museum (pictured above)
    • A collection of Egyptian artifacts in a Gucci suitcase
    • A live rattlesnake
    • A GPS for the Navy, worth $250,000
    • A Barbie stuffed with $500 in bills inside the body (not sure how they fit that in there, she's not hollow!)
    • A replica suit of armor
    • A violin from the 1770s
    • A camera for NASA, designed for a space shuttle
    • A 40.35 carat natural emerald
You'd think that if someone was taking this stuff with them on a plane, they'd be a bit more careful!

Has an airline ever lost your baggage? Have you ever been to the Unclaimed Baggage Center?
