The 15 Most Popular Job Sites
It has been a long time since anyone has used the newspaper classifieds. Forbes gives us a list of the 15 most popular job websites from April 2009.
Here is the list:- CareerBuilder.com
- Yahoo! HotJobs
- Monster
- Simply Hired
- Indeed
- USAJOBS.gov
- Job.com
- About.com Jobs & Careers
- SnagAJob.com
- Kenexa
- Beyond.com
- TheLadders.com
- Salary.com
- GovernmentJobs.com
- EmploymentGuide.com
I personally used HotJobs in the past and have received some pretty good recommendations. I liked the fact they gave me notice of how many employers viewed my resume. Although Forbes didn't mention Craigslist.org, personally I think it should be on there. Unlike the websites above, the site is free for employers and job seekers.
What sites do you use to find jobs online? Do you think Craigslist should be on Forbes' list?

Living in Canada, I have used only Monster, Workopolis, Gov. sites, etc.
Careerbuilder.com requires you to filter through A LOT of spam when you're browsing for jobs AND receiving job offers.
@drung888@xanga - yeah, and it always wants me to apply to the university of phoenix, lol.
I also use SimplyHired (kind of an Indeed clone) and Idealist (which is for nonprofits).
I'll visit those sites if and when I'm desperate enough. If not, I'll just become a gigolo. =)
I've used Indeed. Has it helped me ? NOT YET ! lol
Now that they caught that craigslist killer guy, I guess it's okay.
You should consider http://www.jobsearchshortcut.com for job searching. It is unique. It doesn't list jobs. Instead, it links directly to the job listing web pages of over 20,000 employers. All the jobs you see will be current open positions of the employer. No fees, no middle men.
