  • The Best Credit Cards For The Holidays

    From our friends over at Billshrink.com...

    With the holidays just around the corner, many people are making their lists and checking them twice. One list that should not be neglected this shopping season is a list of the best credit cards for you, depending on what type of shopper you happen to be. The image below will help you decide how to get the most out of your budget and save money just by selecting the right way to pay for your purchases.

    How are you going to pay for your holiday purchases?

    one day in precalc class, my teacher taught us the formula for finding interest compounded continuously. he went on to explain that so many people are in (credit card) debt because they don't understand how interest rates work, and how the interest increases every time you go further into debt, etc.

    so basically, if everyone knew how to do basic high school math, they wouldn't have to worry about choosing certain credit cards and whatnot.

    buy only within your means. don't go into debt. happy holidays.

    Why use a credit card?  Why not budget for the holidays and pay with cash?

    @emeralds@xanga - because you can't pay with cash on the internet, which is where the best deals (in my opinion) are

    CREDIT CARDS ARE FROM THE DEVIL. Pay cash so that your illegal purchases (with stolen cash) can't be traced. XD

    @letsgetD0WNx@xanga - debit cards?  my point was that people use the holidays as a reason to go further into debt.

    I refuse to use a credit card. If I need to buy something online, I  use my debit card because it comes directly from my back account. We have ONE credit card, it has a 500 limit and we ONLY use it for reserving hotels and/or rental cars. But we don't use it to pay for the said hotel or rental car.

    @emeralds@xanga - Agree agree!!!

    Oh pft. I basically plan out who I'm giving gifts to first, then make a budget for each person. So far, I only need to give gifts to three people. The rest I'll make cookies for. This way I won't get a heart attack when I see my credit card bill.

    Why wasnt this posted a month ago when I was looking for a new credit card!?!  (Although one of the 3 suggested for me was the Chase card, and I will never do business with them again!)

    @cornyonacob@xanga - I use my credit cards constantly.  I never use cash for anything (unless it is my only option).  I have no credit card debt, but I still maintain rewards from the credit card companies!  So while yes, (most) people are stupid for going into debt on their credit cards, they arent all bad!
