Speaking of
toilet paper, Charmin is
holding auditions in for toilet paper "ambassadors"—perky folks who hang out in the brand's Times Square bathrooms and both greet toiler-goers
and blog about it later. The pay: $10,000.
Charmin first opened its holiday Times Square bathrooms in 2006, according to
Gothamist—providing twenty frequently cleaned restrooms
plus a waiting room with flat-screen TVs, all free of charge. But TVs or not, as a new New Yorker I can testify that I'm constantly sneaking into Starbucks to use the facilities... so I might have to take advantage of Charmin's campaign come the holiday season.
If you're interested in applying to be an ambassador, you can start lining up at the Hilton on 53rd St. and 6th Ave. at 8 a.m. this Thursday. More info
here.
Do you approve of this ad campaign? Could you feign toilet-paper enthusiasm for $10,000?
