Cute or Crazy?
Before their April nuptials, Heidi Montag gifted now-husband Spencer Pratt with a classic 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, while the groom showered his bride with $250,000 worth of Neil Lane jewelry. MyRegistry.com wants to know:
Do you think pricey pre-wedding gifts are cute or crazy, especially in light of today's dismal economy?

if they can afford why not i guess..
Personally, I think it's pretty crazy. I mean, seriously? I'm wondering if they're doing this for the publicity, they're always pulling crazy stunts it seems to me. But that's just my opinion.
Desperate much?
If they can afford it, why not? Their excessive spending can only contribute to our economy, but this is only my opinion.
lol hey, who knows? that might be chump change for them. i think it's all relative to how much they have and what they make!
it's their money, so i guess they can do whatever they want with it. to them, it might be cute. To the critical world that exists outside of their lives, it's a different story.
It's their money and they should spend it how they like. However, personally, I couldn't do it, every time I find myself wanting some big extravagant purchase I always find myself thinking things like "This money I want to spend on that big screen TV will pay for a semester of college for one of those boys I am trying to get out of that gang", or "the homeless shelter needs coats, gloves & hats for the kids there for winter, how can I wear useless expensive jewelry when little kids in my own city don't have warm coats?". I can never be happy buying big ticket fluffy luxury items while so many human beings within an hours drive of where I live are struggling to survive on a daily basis.
If you have the cash, might as well, it's all a sign of love and affection at the end of the day.
How about stupid? "Things" do not equal love.
@sarahb_86@xanga - I totally agree!
what the fuck?
i think people like that deserve to have hot tea poured onto their hands every time they used money so recklessly.
@TheCheshireGrins@xanga - Thanks!
People need to realize that when u die none of this junk is going with you. People seem to forget about what life is really about. And she is going to enjoy the jewlery for a couple of days and then forget about it and move on to something new meaning more money spent on junk, its a cycle thats never going to end. but hey to each his own right? riiiiight.
Hey, if they can afford it with their money, who are we to judge?
I would have rather had the 396 camaro...
