Senior Citizen with Oxygen Tank Robs Bank - Sign of The Times?
You know the economy is rough when 70 year old men resort to bank robbery.
______________________________________________________________
From San Diego Examiner:The FBI continues to look for a 70-year-old man who allegedly robbed the San Diego National Bank in La Jolla while carrying an oxygen tank this morning.
According to authorities, the suspect entered the bank on Ivanhoe Avenue at 10:10 a.m. and presented a demand note to a teller. The suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash.
The suspect is described as white, in his 70s, 6' 4" tall, medium build, wearing a black and beige checked sports coat, light slacks, a checkered golf cap and eyeglasses. He was carrying an oxygen tank in a black bag and had tubes in his nose.
Is this yet another sign that this recession is pretty rough?

rofl okay so did he just write "give me some money" and they gave him money? seriously? couldn't they... like... say no?
@harmonyminusmelody@xanga - I was thinking the same thing. No mention of a weapon at all. I wonder if the getaway vehicle was a power scooter.
lol that guy lives in la jolla and he has to rob a bank? he just has to take the bus to national city or something and he won't be comfortable in his $5million home next to the beach.
@harmonyminusmelody@xanga and @xsimplepleasuresx@xanga - I used to work at a bank (two actually). When someone hands you a note saying to give you the money, you have to assume that they have a weapon because you don't want a hostage situation. You just give them the money and once they leave, you activate the alarm and follow the robbery procedure.
...wow
