Gifting Someone From Freecycle?
I have been broke most of my life, I am okay with that...there are things I will draw the line at.
But when it comes to gift-giving, I'm not sure where that line is. I have bought mugs from Ross's Dress for less and packs of tea and other little things to fill it with as Christmas gifts one year. But I have to wonder: Is it okay to give a fairly-new, still-in-the-box gift to someone off of Freecycle? (Freecycle is kind of like a Craigslist for free items. People post about items they're giving away for free). I mean if it was clean and it's still in the box with everything is that okay? Or is that just cheap?
Would you gift something you've gotten for free? Have you done something like this?

Yes, I have. I would do it if the person was nice, or really needed it, because giving something, especially something brand new, makes you feel great.
Yes, I would gift something I got for free. I haven't done it yet though.
People on Freecycle usually aren't on there simply because they're cheap. It's also because they care about the environment and want to reduce the amount of trash that we toss out.
Sure, why not?
One of the best gifts my kids ever got was the gift of some gently used classic books from a broke uncle. It wasn't the sentimental value - the books were awesome and carefully chosen for my girls and they were in great shape. Who the heck cares how much their broke uncle spent? These were treasures!
@OneBadMother@xanga - wow that is a gift to be remembered for a lifetime!
@RoAngie467@momaroo - okay lets be honest here most members are on there just to get free stuff!
@tom_ko@xanga - True, but I wanted to offer a fresh and different perspective.
@RoAngie467@momaroo - :D thanks! and that is what it also says on the freecycle rules and homepage! lol
