Worldwide Cellphone Costs
I thought cellphone use was pervasive in the US, but according to this piece from Billshrink.com, some countries have actually reached a saturation of more than 100%. That is, they have more cellphone subscriptions than they do people.
Their chart also breaks down average monthly service costs, total subscribers and saturation by nation, annual outgoing minutes per capita, and the top worldwide carriers.Click the Chart to View the Larger Image
It's interesting that the US has the highest monthly service cost ($11/month more than the other listed countries). I was also surprised to see that Japan has one of the lower saturation amounts. I'm so used to the idea of cellphones in Japan being so much more advanced and pervasive, that I didn't think European countries would surpass it.

I'm surprised the chart doesn't include Canada and China.
