They say that money is the root of all evil, correct? Its one of those enticing things you can't get enough of. Especially when you are broke and looking for an extra dollar here and there. Maybe you need some extra cash to go to Applebee's after school with your friends and you're reluctant to ask your mom for some money. So instead, you see a few dollars on the dresser and you secretly make it yours. I remember doing this when I was a kid and thinking nothing of it. Sure it was a three dollars that I'm sure my mom would easily forget about. But it was three dollars that I did not work for and three dollars less in my mother's pocket.
So lets be honest: Have you ever stolen money from anyone: A friend or family member? How much did you take and Why did you take it?

I can't say no exactly. I stole money from my mom when I was a kid, you know, like quarters laying around and stuff.
My boyfriend and I took small amounts from this moms change compartment in her car (we drive her Navigator too) when we didn't have exact change.
I don't consider that theft though.
Now that you've confessed I have no choice but to report you to the authorities.
Once I stole a pencil in elementary, but I felt really bad about it. *sigh* what can I say, I was hard core.
...I plead the fifth.
I took $20 worth in Philippine pesos.
I once stole a piece of chalk from my primary school, egged on by my older sister and her friends. I still feel guilty about it! (I'm 35 years old...) Maybe I should send them a box of chalk... Not sure if they still use chalk boards there - they may have moved up to smart boards
And I also took change from my mother's household purse as a child - probably to buy candy! That is two sins in one: theft and gluttony. I guess if I were a Catholic, I'd be absolved after my confession?
I would keep change I found when cleaning the house, but thats about it.
I keep a quarter from the washer once, it may or may not have been mine....
@itscatwithak@xanga - same here :)
I take change around the house when it's been lying around for more than a day...
I've never stolen money from anyone, and I never will. Stealing is wrong!
