Every time a Holiday rolls around, it seems like the media is flooded with sales from cars to clothing, even deli meat at the local supermarket. I wonder what is it about having a holiday, which usually means a day off that make companies drive their prices down? For instance, a few years ago I wanted a laptop in April and my mother told me to wait till Memorial Day, that there would be a good sale. The only difference was about $100 and the inconvenience of not having a laptop for a month! For me, it depends on what I am purchasing. When it comes to clothes, I feel like there is always a sale and clothes will always be around. The best deal I got was for a mattress set on July 4th.
Do you wait for the Holidays to make a big purchase to save money?

Not holidays in particular, but I do wait to buy kids' clothes at the end of each season. Most stores have mega-markdowns once they put out the new season's clothing.
yup! but you have to be careful or else you end up buying too much.
I usually wait until black friday to buy clothes and it works for me.

Saves me and my family A LOT of money.
