I went for a walk with my Dad the other day. About ten minutes into it, he started getting horrible blisters on his feet. The blisters were from a cheap pair of flip-flops; he had lost his old pair of Tevas and decided to just pick up a pair of generic flip-flops at Walgreen's for $10. If he had just spent more money on a quality pair of shoes, he wouldn't have had to suffer with the pain of blisters.
Have you ever bought something cheap and been disappointed with the results?
*Note: My dad's blisters weren't quite as bad as the ones in the picture, but you get the point of what cheap shoes can do!

yea, i have bought something cheap and been disappointed with the results...so now, if at all possible ha, i try not to do that.
i guess it's true what they say: "you get what you pay for" *sighhh* ;)
that pic is disgusting.
i think comfortable shoes are worth every penny and it's not like you have to buy a new pair everyday anyways so i am not afraid to spend money in that area of life. there are some other things in life where you can pay less and live with it fine.
Thats a really scary picture! Ugh Ive done
that with Old Navy flip flops which are the worse. They always give me
blisters=( When it comes to feet, my bf always tells me this is what
you walk on every day so you shouldn't be cheap with them. Best advice
I could get outta him haha!
@dolcecorazon - really?
i love hold navy flipflops ^__^ , i never had any blisters :X
and i walk on them all the time hrrm..
old navy flip flops.
Yes of course I have! It's all trial and error.
I have a pair of american eagle flip flops and theyre so comfy and durable. Love them.
$10? that wasn't cheap. i was thinking $1 flip flops. that was just a major rip off. payless has flip flops for $10, and they can be pretty comfortable.
that pic is so gross. i hope its photo edited. long before that point i would have taken my shoes off and gone barefoot.
I convinced my mom to buy me these shoes when I was 11. They had a slight wedge heel and they were flips flops.I was so excited to get them i wore them for a loooong walk with her and sliced me feet on them. then she yelled at me when i tried to walk barefoot. Sorry, but I had to, they were slicintg my feet open! They were from Payless, so not really cheap dollar store flip flops or anything, but they were poorly made considering they were $30 casual/dress shoes
You coulda made your point without this picture. I dont think anybody needed to see that.
YIKES that picture looks painful!
My best friend bought these nice-looking converse shoes with this dragon design on it for super cheap online. One rainy day she complained about wearing the shoes outside of homeroom (since the class was in a bungalow and we had to walk outside towards the school) and I didn't understand why until she showed me this HUGE rip/hole in the center of the sole.
And once in middle school I bought a watch from the dollar store... it didn't.. last... long... haha.
that picture is actually real.. i saw an article about it and it was about sandals that were made in china that happened to have some kind of chemical that ruined your feet.. nothing against china its just the fact :]
i've bought flip flops for $10 before and they were actually pretty comfortable.
Had them for about 3 years so far.
=]
I buy my flipflops from Walmart for $1-5 and have never had any trouble with them! Didn't he try them on before he bought them? Oy.
I don't think the price of the flip flops or the fact that they were from wal-mart really had anything to do with the fact that they gave him blisters. $10 is actually a higher price for flip flops. Old navy 2/$5 flip flops FTW.
