What Are You Worth?
Take a look at everything you are wearing right now. Your outfit, your jewelry, your socks and sneakers. Try to calculate how much you spent on each item you are wearing.
My Value:
Shirt: $7.99
Pants: $24.99
Socks: $4.99
Underwear: $8.50
Sneakers: $49.99
Glasses: $250.00
Grand Total: Approximately $346
Without the glasses, that's basically an outfit under $100. How much are you wearing right now?

I think it's more important to figure out the cost per wear (CPW): I've been wearing the pants for three years, for example. Let's say I wear them about a quarter of the year between washes, that's about 80 days times three, so 240 days. Five bucks for over 200 wear = a true bargain!!
I wear my glasses every day, so that's 250 divided by 730 days = about 34 cents per wear. Not bad, if you ask me.
I suppose when you do buy more expensive items, you have to make sure you'll wear them more often. This is why I've never spent much money on a formal gown - how many times do you really wear those? Exactly.
@Amerindian666@xanga - that's a good point! I actually shop clearance only for my son (I've gotten good at figuring out what size he will be in what season, so I shop a season ahead). I mean, is it really worth spending the whole shbang on "this season's trends" for a two-year-old?
Not bad everyone! @wolvenchic I love forever 21. They have some awesome sales, and even the clothes not on sale are pretty nifty!
