Having More Than One Job
Sometimes, having 24 hours in a day isn't enough for some people. Working a daily 9 to 5 job is often exhausting for anyone, but when you need to make ends meet, you might need a second job for some extra cash. There are plenty of part time opportunities to make extra cash such as dog walking, babysitting or bartending, which usually have flexible hours and lots of availability.
Do you have a second or side job to help pay your bills? How do you manage with two positions?

i wished i had enough time in the day to handle a second job so i can pay off all of my bills but i don't. at my current job, there are days when i don't have enough time in an 8 hour day to complete all the tasks that i need to do. but i'm ok, with OT i'm able to pay my bills and live comfortably. hopefully that won't be for long.
My job's only 6 hours a day (not by choice!), but I just got a position at a retail store for my second job, working closing shift. I start next week, so I expect to be exhausted all the time, but a lot of my 6-hour-a-day co-workers make it happen.
If it helps pay the bills...you gotta do what you gotta do.
I do, my main job doesn't have enough hours. In the school year, I am a substitute teacher and I work at a movie theater (I'm a college student.) In the summer, I am a CNA and I work at the movie theater. I do it because I'm a workaholic and I have a ridiculous amount of bills. It's hard but on my days off I sleep 15 hours.
I'm a college student with three jobs. All three are part time and I average 40 hours a week. I don't have a lot of bills but I do it to keep busy and to save money. I'm able to do it because I don't want to rely on my dad for money. That's why I really have no sympathy for people who complain because I know there's a recession but if people my age want a job, they can find it. People complain about submitting 5 applications in one day. I probably submitted over 50 applications in the span of the few days I spent looking for each the jobs I've had (4 different jobs).
@Summer_Heat@xanga - 40 hours a week of work in addition to your class work? Wow...that's a lot and very impressive if you're able to manage that!
I'm a college student and I have two part-time jobs right now. Once school starts up again, I'll have three part-time jobs. I think with all of them, it will be well over 40 hours a week so thankfully my senior year is going to be an easy 12 credits per semester!
I have a second job, but not because I need the money. I teach fitness classes on the side because I love it and getting paid for working out is a great bonus. Plus, saves on paying for fitness classes...
there's been plenty of times i've worked two jobs, sometimes working 70-hour weeks. there's also been other times i've worked full-time and gone to college full-time.
it's not easy, but you just tell yourself you do what you have to do to survive, and learn how to manage all of your time efficiently (even budgeting sleep). you burn out after awhile, then end up quitting something. but it is doable for several months if you have a goal in mind.
Over the school year, I take a full load of college classes, work a day job of running audio and lighting equipment to and from events then controlling the board during events, and work overnight at the campus library.
I won't lie, it is exhausting, but I need the money to pay rent and food. If I didn't have both jobs, I wouldn't be able to eat.

but you have to keep going in life dont we you bet we do
now i can show you how to do what took me 3 yrs to do in 2 - 5 days
i had no one to help me they just took my $$$$$
