At my last job, it was a complete nuisance to deposit my pay check every two weeks. Unfortunately, because I was a temp, I was unable to receive direct deposit. For some people, direct deposit is a nuisance to them. My former co-worker always prefered having cash on her hands and being able to know where her money is. Often, with a debit card, she would lose track of her money and having her bills bounce.
Do you prefer your pay check to go straight to your bank account or do you like the feel of cold hard cash in your hands?

bank account so i dont overspend
in my hands cause it's just easier that way for me. I always forget about my atm card & how much is left in the bank.
Bank account! I HATE balancing my checkbook, so the best way to curb spending is to "block" my money by keeping it out of sight. If I have cash, I tend to wantonly spend it. I've never overdrawn my account, either, because I'm real anal retentive about keeping my records straight.
My credit union has a really nice interest rate if you do direct deposit, so that's all the more incentive!
Hands. With debit cards, I forget how much money I have. I have a budget and I only carry around what I budgeted.
Bank, so I have to put in effort to go retrieve it in order to spend it. Also, leaving money in my pockets and all over the house (risking being stolen by visitors or sent through the wash or whatnot) doesn't accumulate interest!
I get paycheques, and I do find that a hassle, but it's not a big problem for me. I have to go out eventually, and even if once every two weeks, I'm bound to pass a location of my bank anyway.
bank. i know interest rates SUCK right now but it's better than none at all.
All spending money I keep in cash and bill money goes to the bank. I'm with Wachovia and they like to mess with bank accounts so I need to switch to Bank of America. Then, I'll probably keep all my money in the bank.
it depends. Recently I started to take all my money out of the bank when I get direct deposit and it allows me to limit what Im spending because I know how much I have. With a depbit card back in the day Id always overdraft after paying bills because Id forget how much I had. Besides.....coin jars help you save a bunch too.
