  • How Do You Feel About Wal-Mart?

I don't have a Wal-Mart near me at home, but when I'm at school, it's the best place to do my shopping. They have such cheap prices and have almost anything a college student could possibly need. One of my favorite things to buy are boxes of cereal for like $3 each.

Though Wal-Mart has unbeatable prices, the thing is, I hate going there. It's very overwhelming and too big to easily do your shopping. There are lots of trashy people with annoying little kids, and I find it to be an overall depressing experience. I think it's a love/hate relationship. I feel that people either love it or hate it. I guess I can't decide which way I feel.

How do you feel about Wal-Mart?

Every time I shop at Wal-Mart -- WITHOUT FAIL -- someone else's kid will grab my hand without looking to see that I'm not their mom, then they'll look up at me with the most terrified expression as if I'M the creepy one.

    FUCK WAL-MART SO MUCH.

I fucking hate walmart but its my only option in this tiny town I live in. It smells weird, looks ugly, and there is NEVER anything I want. EVER.

The other day my boyfriend and I were at checkout. This trampy chick comes behind us in line wearing nothing but a long jersey. She had two kids with her, and I wasn't sure if they were hers or her siblings. The little boy and girl were arguing about who was richer (though I highly doubt any of them were rich at all) and the little girl started leaning on my cart and pilfering through my bags. I snatched the cart out from under her arms and gave her a dirty look. Then the little boy was like ALL UP AGAINST ME IN MY SPACE DUDE and I glared at him too. All this was going on while this irresponsible 20 something year old was reading Cosmopolitan: How to have the best sex ever.

@kash@healthkicker - as soon as you mentioned super Walmart and Wegmans I just knew you were talking about Binghamton

I was in Wal Mart last night, and saw two very trashy looking people smoking a pipe in one of the aisles....but I still like Wal Mart.. hah

24 hour Wal-Marts were bomb when I got paid and got off work at 1 or 2 AM with a couple of friends.

Now...i prefer Target after my normal work hours.  Though Wal-Mart has some good sugar cookies with icing on top of it...sooo goood, but the cookie is not so good without the icing.

I don't shop at Walmart. I prefer Target.

i love it for the prices, but finding a parking spot and getting through the lines takes longer than the actual shopping itself! it's worth the wait though, imo. you're not gonna find cheaper prices anywhere else.

Well, this is how I see it...You go there because of the low prices? So do these "trashy" humans and their "screaming" kids. The reasong they look "trashy" to you is because they are triving off a lower income, and HAVE to relie on Walmart's prices. You probably don't see them in Belk, or Parsian's right? Then take you're business to those places. All humans have to wear clothes, and eat, and they all have to get items to do so somewhere. So, excuse the lower class for poluting you're local walmart?

I shop at Walmart, alot. Being from Alabama, we all do here. I hate how when some of my friends pick fun at others for their "walmart brand" items. Hey, atleast they are wearing clothes, right?

I dont like Wal-mart. I've never had a good experience with them. Theres always some rude trashy person that pisses me off...

  • LiberalArmyWife@xanga

    Everything you just said.

I'm a proud Target slut. Have been for years now. When we moved down here, the closest Target was 30 miles away. Sacrilege! I have no choice but to go to Wal-mart more, since it's not even a 5 minute drive from our house, but it is depressing. Visually and emotionally. It's like all of America's hopes and dreams were crushed into a filthy paste and that paste was sprinkled all over Wal-marts nationwide.

    The prices are good, though.

i hate walmart, unfortunately i live in a small town and i HAVE to go there. if i ever have to go there its only to get food though. if i need anything else (clothes, electronics, ect) i just take a drive to the city cuz the things i've gotten at walmart have never lasted long. also i dont like walmart cuz they treat their employees bad. we watched a documentary over it in my economics class. and about those cheap prices? well in my small town its really not THAT cheap. yeah it was cheap when walmart first moved in, but what they did was lower their prices and drive all the other smaller stores out of business. then when it was just walmart in our town they jacked the prices back up.

  • teapot_417@xanga

hate the wal-mart environment, but like the low prices and the fact that they have pretty much everything in one store.
