How Do You Feel About Wal-Mart?
I don't have a Wal-Mart near me at home, but when I'm at school, it's the best place to do my shopping. They have such cheap prices and have almost anything a college student could possibly need. One of my favorite things to buy are boxes of cereal for like $3 each.
Though Wal-Mart has unbeatable prices, the thing is, I hate going there. It's very overwhelming and too big to easily do your shopping. There are lots of trashy people with annoying little kids, and I find it to be an overall depressing experience. I think it's a love/hate relationship. I feel that people either love it or hate it. I guess I can't decide which way I feel.
How do you feel about Wal-Mart?

@XxSignInLockxX@xanga - the fuck?
I'm on the band wagon with all the people who HATE Wal-Mart for all the social ills they perpetuate and we will never allow one in NYC so we don't have to deal with it although I really don't get into the fray of things but I don't like huge corporate machines that maximize profit over minimizing basic human essentials in the fashion of the "Company Store" paradigm where feudal systems are duplicated and monopoly are created.
When things go in this direction social stratification becomes of such disparity that the society eventually deteoriates into chaos due to economic collapse.
i effing hate wal-mart.
I like Target better, lol.
You just described a bunch of stores. I have no problems with Wal*mart. After so many times in a store, I know where to find my items. If I really want to avoid people I'd go out when most people aren't out.

It's why Kontzicles left.Walmart has very cheap prices, but it's very cluttered and trashed, somewhat. I prefer Target, much cleaner. :P HAHA.
It's got it's pros and cons.
i hate walmart. at least, the one near my house. they never have anything i'm looking for (it's always available 5 minutes away at the (other) location where there's a shooting like every night), you're right - there are a ton of trashy people there, it's where the white trash kids go (but i'm not saying other races don't go there too cuz lord knows they do), and it has a lot of low-quality, low-price stuff.
everybody i know who wants to hangout somewhere off the streets, though, is always like "let's go to walmart"
oh yea, lets go out to the (other one) where everybody gets shot at. yaaaaaay.
ohhh, and i don't know if it's just my location but when you enter, you're walking on the left side not the right. we're not in europe, ok?
Bloody criminals, utter rubbish the whole lot of them.
Their day will come.
I can't stand it. Aside from all the economical/political reasons to hate it, just go inside. It's huge and messy, with tons of screaming children running into you everywhere you turn. I get grossed out when I go there.
Wal Mart is the bomb, yo, F human rights and the enviroment and fair employment practices in the A, Viva capitalism and vulgar profiteering!
(target is the bomb too, and the womens there are way hotter and better to ogle from the vantage point of yer hummer's backseat whilst parked in the parking lot)
i always shop there.
why go to 5 different stores when i can get everything in one?
I call it the Evil Empire, akin to Star Wars. Find a copy of the DVD "The High cost of a low price" which exposes the nastier side of The Evil Empire and give it a watch. When the DVD came out.... wal-mart did everything in their power to suppress it, curious as to why?
Besides the fact it imports everything and I always hear bad things from past or present employee's, I think it's very trashy and for all these things, I would never shop there.
I went to one of those big ass Walmarts and I was looking for a backpack. They only had one kind of backpack and it was 40 dollars. I was looking for a ten dollar backpack. It made me very angry.
i prefer Target,
But i go to walmart for their 5$ movies. =].
Wal-mart is great. When I lived abroad, I have to admit, I did miss it. I hate going when it's busy though, so I usually go in the middle of the night when all of the staff is just restocking
I love it. We have a pretty good Wal-Mart near here.
I love it. SO convenient, cheap and they have like everything!
whats not to love?! :D
I hate shopping, period. I hate crowds, traffic, lines, etc. The first WalMart I ever went to was so small and crowded, I felt so claustrophobic, I never went in another one for years. Later, in a different city, I ventured in and was surprised. It may indeed have everything you described, but I don't look for the bad...besides...I am there, and I'm not trashy. I like it because I can do most of my weekly shopping in one spot and it is close to my home. Location is 95% of the draw for me. I know there are people who don't like the quality, but if quality mattered to me on a particular item, I can get it where I want. I just hate to shop...so this one stop deal is perfect. BUT...I think they need to get out of the political arena.
I work there, but I don't usually buy more than a few items there.
Worst shopping experience ever.
Too many people. Too little organization. General rudeness. Shockingly bad music/book selection. Too much Hannah Montana merchandise.
And that's aside from all the other non-shopping-related reasons to dislike Walmart.
Actually, the only thing I like about it is that someone greets you when you go inside. But anytime I've replied back in a kind fashion, the greeter looks shocked as if it's the first time it's happened all day.
Can't stand Walmart, especially after I learned about their strategy in driving out other businesses. They just come along into a small community, settle down, and push everyone else out.
I don't care if Walmart is cheaper, I refuse to shop there.
ok dudes i totally love walmart!
