Crazy Coupon Ladies

Ever see those crazy shoppers at the supermarket rummaging through pages of coupons? I can't help but get annoyed as I stand impatiently in the checkout line and the coupon lady takes her time. But maybe those crazy coupon ladies aren't so crazy after all.

Before doing her grocery shopping every week, my sister flips through papers of coupons. When I get those cheap papers sent to the "Resident" at my house, I throw them in the trash without even thinking. After realizing that sometimes I pay $5.00 for a pint of Ben & Jerry's, perhaps the crazy coupon lady style would look good on me.

When did you start clipping coupons?

My mom's been clipping for as long as I can remember. And I'm 14, so I don't need coupons yet.

My parents got me started helping them grocery shop off the sale sheets when I was about eight or nine but it took until junior high for it to sink in that coupons and sales were also how I could pick a new shirt -and- a new cd. Now that I'm managing my own money I'm a crazy coupon lady.

I think that I must have been born with scissors in hand...I've been cutting coupons my entire life. I'm a crazy coupon lady!!! The people behind me in line at the supermarket hate me, but my husband loves the fact we have extra money from all the savings!

To make things worse, I sale my extra coupons on Ebay to make a little more extra cash!

I started using coupons when I got pregnant and realized saving some money off something I was going to buy anyway adds up. It probably doesn't hurt that I'm pregnant during a time when cheap is chic because of the state of the economy.

The minute I moved to college I started coupon clipping, haha. I never realized how much grocery shopping adds up.

I love coupons! I wish there was a bigger selection in the Sunday paper. Nowadays its like you have to buy 2 of anything to save a quarter when it used to be just buy one. =(
