Use window AC units instead of central air. Unplug things so they don't draw "ghost" electricity (I mean your computer and TV). Open your blinds instead of turning on the lights.
Go Amish?
use energy saving lightbulbs (those spiral ones). if you must use the A/C turn it on after 7pm.
like the first post, unplug your appliances because even when you turn them off, they still use electricity (for example, the light on your stove). A good way to solve this is to plug everything into a power bar and then turning the switch on your power bar off when you don't need to use any of the appliances.
Once you start using AC during the summer, don't open up your windows. It makes the AC work even harder when you start using it again. Okay I'm not quite sure if that saves electricity but I'm pretty sure it does. But I do know it keeps your AC from working twice as hard and stressing it too much.
