yes i had a scholarship for my first year...=)
Yes. God yes. About half my tuition is covered by the school for being a National Merit scholar, then I get an odd couple hundred to a few thousand from different, smaller scholarship programs from the state, my town, etc.
Yes, I have a combination of both
yes. i have a scholarship right now. it's for being a member of an organization at my school. it's not bad, i would be in the organization even if there was no scholarship cause it's fun! but im looking for more scholarships. no one wants to be in debt after graduation.
I have received $18,000 from my school. $3000 from 3rd party donators to the school. And $3000 from the state for doing well on standardized testing. All in all, school has been pretty cheap for my parents.
I'm not eligible for financial aid =\.
I get a combination of both, from the government and random scholarships from my school.
I get nothing from the government.....
I have some private scholarships and academic scholarships from the school.

And hells yes the government is paying for part of my $40,000/year education at Loyola University Chicago. I have grants, scholarships, loans and FWS............
All I really aim for are in-school bursaries and scholarships, but it's hard for me to beg my case for financial aid since I'm not in as much need as others. I'm currently using a yearly renewed scholarship, but only for $500/year. I had an entrance bursary and scholarship last year, but the rest comes out of my own pocket. What I work in the summer tends to break even on how much tuition comes to each year anyway.
