Amazon, eBay, or Craigslist? What's Your Preference to Sell and Save Money
I have so many accounts on different websites it's absurd. As I attempted to unsubscribe and cancel my membership to some, I wondered why I had three "consumer" accounts. So I sat down and tried to decide what I use each site for:
1. Ebay - Use it to bid on pointless yet entertaining things like Dark Horse graphic novels or some sort of collector's item such as the Saved by the Bell Soundtrack (don't judge please).
2. Amazon - I sell my old school books here and find great deals on texts, dvds, and electronics. I do a majority of my online shopping through this site.
3. Craigslist - I use it to post ads for my services (just for the record, to tutor.. not sell my body). I also use it to search for jobs and occasionally read those idealistic yet creepy missed connections.
It definitely makes sense to keep the Amazon one since that's where I do my most selling and purchasing. Ultimately though, I am holding on to all three accounts because I use them for such different purposes.
The experience got me thinking for what purpose do people use each of the aforementioned sites. There always seems to be an eBay vs. Amazon war but now Craigslist has immersed itself deeply into the battle of online auctions, sales, and cheap products.
Does anyone prefer to selling/buying items through Craigslist and eBay as opposed to Amazon? How come? Do you have a preference for any of these sites? Any there any other sites worth mentioning?

I dont sell anything on-line, the only time I bid for something on-line was ebay and someone put in a higher bid was for 100 London postcards.
i use amazon the most. i dont trust craigslist that much, so i only use it when i am looking for housing/roomates.
I used to buy a lot of things on Ebay.
Since I don't have a credit card, it was cool since some people accepted different kinds of payments.
eBay is the best! You can find anything on there.
I like eBay to buy stuff, but I use Amazon to sell!

Craiglist is too wordy for me - I like pics
Amazon - only for books
E-bay -has too much bidding -.-"
craigslist is the greatest...that and amazon
I use amazon for books and electronics
craigslist for sublets, apartment vacancies, free stuffs, cheap furniture, garage sales, and such. It's great because even furniture stores will post really inexpensive items to clear out their inventory. I used craigslist to find the apartment I rented from a subletter in the city for the summer a year ago, and it worked out extremely well. I also used craigslist to find the apartment I'm at now at school. It's a sublet with the option to lease. The guy left us a bunch of free furniture and a microwave. We got a lot of furniture from moving and estate sales as well as a mattress that was posted by a furniture store. We are planning on selling some of the stuff the guy left on craigslist. It's great if you need housing with very short notice, short periods of time, or if you are looking for roommates. Jobs are posted often, also.
I love the fact that you don't have to type up full description of your items when you sell/list on Amazon! But I compare prices before I buy anything, so I don't have a preference to Ebay or Amazon for buying.
Ebay is my top preference, I can't use Amazon except when I have giftcards for surveys I do online, and I've never used craigslist.
@phuck_diz_shiz@xanga - lol! pictures are definitely good!
@merquryd@xanga - that is amazing!
I love amazon but ebay can be just as awesome! :)
