Apple last week announced their iTunes music store will have new prices for their songs. The prices range from $0.69 to $1.29 per song. Ofcourse that wasn't the only news.
They are now offering DRM (digital rights management) free songs, so you can put your songs in any MP3 player, which wasn't allowed before.
This is a great way to legally buy music and store them in any hard drive, computer or MP3 so you don't have to buy them. Of course most people can just download their music from any pirate service, but artists need to get paid too, right?
Do you buy music online? What music store do you use?

iTunes is my online store of choice. I tried rhapsody for a while and I just didn't really dig it all too much.
That's awesome! I use iTunes for all of my music.
I like using iTunes and Amazon.
I don't really download music anymore. This is because I don't have a use for an mp3 player anymore since I work at home and can just stream music while on my computer. :P
i think it is great that they did this but i just think that a dollar or more per song is little extreme.
I use iTunes, but I don't like the added $.30 per song. It's cool that they got rid of DRM though.
I downloaded a song earlier today and it appears that they increased the bitrate of the audio files from 128 - 256 kbps, which is great because I wanted higher quality files, but I think 192 would have sufficed. They are rather large now.
Thats good that they finally lowered the price. I work in a music store though so I get a discount that allows me to buy actual cd's really cheaply. Though I hardly ever buy any because having to listen to music all day has made me kind of pull away from listening to music outside of work.
I only use itunes to buy music, videos, tv shows and so on. I used to download via the internet without paying but didn't like it, I respect that we need to pay for our music, those artists work hard at what they do and should be paid. I'm happy they are lowering their prices
Limewire......Hey, someone had to say it.
Yep, i use iTunes.
