A Recession Soundtrack For The Broke
We're in recession which means a lot of drama for a lot of people. What better way to express those pent up emotions than through a meticulously compiled recession soundtrack? Hey! If every movie can release a soundtrack, then why can't I?
My Official Recession Themed Soundtrack:
1. Gwen Stefani - Rich Girl
2. Ray Charles - Busted
3. Blind Alfred Reed - How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times And Live?
4. Annie (The Musical) - It's a Hard Knock Life
5. Bob Marley - Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)
6. Beatles - Money
7. Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
8. O'Jays - For the Love of Money
9. Simply Red - Money's Too Tight To Mention
10. Janis Joplin - Nobody Loves You When You're Down and Out
11. Dolly Parton - 9 to 5
12. ABBA - Money, Money, Money
13. McCarthy - There's Someone Worse Off
14. Puff Daddy - Mo Money, Mo Problems
15. B.B. King - Recession Blues
Bonus Tracks:* Rent (the Musical) - Will I Lose My Dignity?

If you had to assemble your own recession soundtrack, which songs would you include?

Never thought about it.
What about some Spingstreen?
Gwen Stefani's "Rich Girl," the song by Janis Joplin (I love anything by her), Dolly Parton's "9 to 5," and The O'Jays' "For the Love of Money."
Money, Money, Money-ABBA
Bills,Bills,Bills-Destiny's Child
Money (That's what I want)-Cant remember the singer right now. On my Ipod it's on the Josie & the Pussycats CD
The way I are-Timbaland (not money centric but he's telling the girl he loves her but doesnt have the money to spend on her & she says it's ok because she likes him as is)
