This is a guest blog submitted by The_Prestigiator Why do you love Christmas? Cookies, beautiful mass, eggnog, warm fire crackling in the background, snow? Sure, sure. We all do. But one of the aspects of Christmas that separates it from all the other holidays is the crazy song collection.
I love window shopping and hearing one amazing Christmas hit after another. Christmas tunes are so fantastic and catchy that they have the potential to turn any old Scrooge into a chipper whistler!
Check out some
free Soulful Christmas music. May your day be merry and bright!
Not focusing on the list for now I would have to say my favorite tunes are:
What Are You Doing New Year's Eve (Ella Fitzgerald version),
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (Judy Garland Version),
White Christmas (Bing Crosby),
My Grown-Up Christmas List (Amy Grant), and
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays (N'Sync). I'm a sucker for nostalgic classics but I do love a taste of Christmas pop music.
So, do you enjoy a wonderful Christmas soundtrack? What are your favorite Christmas tunes?

The BEST Christmas song EVER is Little Drummer Boy by Audio Adrenaline. Sooo much electric guitars and the vocals could NOT get ANY better! It seriously rocks. It ain't your average Christmas song.
Other than that and very few others, i cannot stand Christmas songs.
@TakingxOverxMe@xanga - Here, here!
My favorites are "Feliz Navidad" (because it's so much fun) and "Greensleeves" (because it is pure beauty).

i dont like 'traditional' christmas music. i like the covers of the traditional songs done by alternative bands, and stuff like that.
my favorite at the moment would have to be august burns red's cover of 'carol of the bells.' its incredible. oh, and i love the almost's cover of 'little drummer boy,' blink 182's 'i wont be home for christmas,' and fall out boy's 'yule shoot your eye out.' :]
Merry Christmas From the Family - Robert Earl Keen
"Little sister brought her new boyfriend
He was a Mexican
We didn't know what to think of him until he sang
Felis Navidad, Felis Navidad"
Classic. Sums up every hick's Christmas with the family.
Ah. I have to go with "Merry Christmas From the Family" by Robert Earl Keen as well. Hopefully he'll play that tune when he comes to the HOB.
I can't forget "Run, Run, Rudolph" by Chuck Berry either, thats a classic! And Los Lonley Boy's version of "Carol of the Bells" is pretty good as well.
One of my fav Christmas songs is Mary did you know. I just think that song's very touching.
I have yet to hear that christmas album from The Raveonettes, and the Santastic4 album. www.santastic4.com.
You haven't lived till you heard the Christmas version of "Dick In a Box".
@mayanao@xanga - I hate the fact that the same old songs are played every year. You just want to write your own hit, so they can stop playing that stuff for a while.
"Santa Baby," as performed by Eartha Kitt. <3
I love Winter Wonderland, Silent Night, Jingle Bell Rock, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
What can I say? I do love Christmas :)
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by Frank Sinatra [my all-time fave]
The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole

and Christmas Eve Sarajevo as performed by The Trans-Siberian Orchestra. LOVE it. :)
And I like Britney Spears "My Only Wish". it's so catchy!
I was recently reminded how much I love "Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer"!!
